    Supplies Needed for This Design

    • ONE fat eighth or scraps of colorful fabric for flowers
    • Background fabric: For the wall hanging you will need ½ yd or ONE 16" x 21". For each 12" block you will need a 13-14" square. For border, 9-10" wide strips - length
    will depend on size of quilt. Basic border is 20" with 8" corner blocks so this would require TWO 38" and TWO 22" lengths to allow for seam allowances and shrinkage.
    • ½ yd or 18" x 23" backing fabric and batting for wall hanging or 14" square per block.
    • ¼ yd binding fabric for wall hanging
    • White thread for Sashiko stitching (or dark if using a light background)
    • Threads to match colorful fabric
    • Small amount of fusible webbing if stitching applique by machine
    • General quilting supplies including marking pens for tracing design onto background.
